(NASDAQ: VRSN), the leading provider of digital trust services, announced that it has acquired Exault, Inc., a network security and performance-consulting firm that serves as a trusted advisor to companies enabling them to maximize their investment in technology and protect proprietary information. The transaction provides VeriSign with a strong platform in the security consulting market, as Exault has several Fortune 500 clients and operates from 14 locations in the United States.

Duff & Phelps, LLC, a Chicago-based investment banking and financial advisory firm, assisted in negotiations and served as financial advisor to Exault.
