Duff & Phelps Announces Plans to Raise Private Equity Fund Targeted at U.S. Hispanic Marketplace

Duff & Phelps has launched an effort to raise a private equity fund targeting investments in companies that serve the United States Hispanic marketplace. The fund is called Hispania Partners. The size of the fund is targeted at $200 million, of which approximately $100 million will be funded by the SBIC. Duff & Phelps’ co-sponsor of this fund will be the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The managers of the fund will be Victor Maruri and Carlos Signoret. They will be located in Duff & Phelps’ Chicago office. Duff & Phelps will be providing infrastructure support to the new fund, and Chester A. Gougis will sit on the fund’s investment committee. In addition, Duff & Phelps will be the principal investment banker on the fund’s acquisition transactions for which we will receive market fees.
