Alexander is a director in the Financial Valuation Group of Duff & Phelps where he serves as project manager for domestic and international engagements.
Alexander has extensive experience in the field of business valuation and the valuation of intangible assets including software, customer relationships, license agreements, technology, patents, trademarks and trade names, and in-process research and development especially, in the context of PPAs (Purchase Price Allocation) according to IFRS 3. Additionally, he has specific experience in business valuation in accordance with the German valuation framework IDW S1.
In M&A and corporate finance, he has served multiple industries and executed a broad variety of projects, including mid-market M&A transactions, divestments, restructuring, strategic advisory, business plan development, and cash management.
Alexander has assisted clients in a variety of industries including Agribusiness, Food & Beverage, Automotive, Chemicals, Consumer Products & Services, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Media & Entertainment, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Real Estate, Technology & Electronics, Telecommunications, Utilities & Power Generation.
He has served corporate clients in a number of countries including Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, and the United States.
Before joining American Appraisal and later Duff & Phelps, Alexander spent 17 years in the Transaction Support Department and the Restructuring Department of a Big 4 accounting firm.
