Andrew is a managing director in the New York office and a senior member of the Transaction Opinions and Mergers & Acquisitions business units. He has 33 years of investment banking experience.
Andrew specializes in executing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), exclusive sales and divestitures, private placements, fairness opinions, government privatizations, restructurings and recapitalization transactions. He has completed more than 80 M&A and Capital Markets transactions and more than 135 fairness and solvency opinions in the United States, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
At Duff & Phelps, Andrew has led fairness and solvency opinion engagements for such diverse clients as T-Mobile (USA), Solutia, Inc., Willbros Group, Inc., Globe Specialty Metals, Inc., MXenergy Holdings Inc., Aleris International, Inc., Mosaid Technologies, Inc., Hughes Telematics, Inc., The South Florida Water Management District, Sun Healthcare Group, Inc., Tomkins Limited, HD Supply, Inc., SNL Financial, L.C .and for the portfolio companies of such leading private equity groups as Apollo Global Management, Carlyle Group, Centerbridge Partners, L.P., Clayton Dubilier & Rice LLC, Investindustrial, Greenbriar Equity Group, LLC, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., New Mountain Capital, LLC., Oaktree Capital Management, L.P, Onex Corporation and Riverstone Holdings LLC.
Prior to Duff & Phelps, Andrew was a managing director in The Bank of New York’s Merchant Banking Group and a managing director, shareholder and head of corporate finance at Fieldstone, Inc. He also spent nine years, five as a managing director, at Bankers Trust Company in the bank’s New York and London M&A teams. Andrew was the founder and general partner of Art Deco Hotels, Ltd., which restored and operated the seven hotel properties that pioneered the revival of the Miami Beach Art Deco District, an economic consultant to the Republic of Chile, Ministry of Finance and a registered representative at Drexel Burnham Lambert. He began his career as a credit analyst at Deltec Banking Corporation in New York.
Andrew received his M.A., with honors, from the University of Miami School of Business and Economics and his B.A., cum laude, from Yale University. He was a founding director and served as president of the Miami Design Preservation League and a member of the board of directors and co-president of the Manitoga/Russel Wright Design Center. He holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
