Chris is a director at Duff & Phelps and is part of the Disputes and Investigations practice specializing in litigation support services to legal counsel, particularly in the areas of shareholder disputes, damages quantification, and business valuation. Early in his career, Chris has been recognized by the Canadian courts as an expert witness in these fields.
Chris has also managed hundreds of transaction mandates, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, equity/debt financings, and fairness opinions, as well as notional valuations delivered for tax, litigation and estate planning purposes. As part of these engagements he has prepared and presented numerous valuation, merger and LBO analyses.
Chris is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), and has completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) Course, Governance Essentials Program (Institute of Corporate Directors), and holds Level II Security Clearance with the Department of Justice & Office of the Auditor General.
Chris also donates his time to a number of local boards and organizations, including Junior Achievement Canada, CFA Society Toronto, Oxford Beach Corp., mDialog Inc., and Yee Hong Geriatric Facilities. His insight and expertise are regularly sought for a wide range of speaking engagements and publications.
