David is a director in the Valuation Advisory Services practice. David joined American Appraisal (now Duff & Phelps) in 2010. He began his career at Repsol in Madrid, working at the Treasury Department and in the Independent Control Department at Citibank in Paris. He joined KPMG in 1997 as an auditor, working on a variety of projects in the financial, telecommunications and industrial sectors. He was transferred to the KPMG offices in London and Dusseldorf, where he developed auditing and consulting experience.
David joined Deloitte in 2000, where he was subsequently promoted to senior manager in the Transaction Advisory Services Department. He has more than 12 years experience in due diligence, forensic and litigation support, restructuring and valuation. During his career with Deloitte, he led cross-border transactions for private equity and industrial companies in the United States, Canada, the UK, Poland, Algeria, Morocco, Chile, Peru, France and Portugal, among others.
After having worked in auditing financial institutions and reviewing credit risk procedures, David was engaged in distressed debt projects and in cross-border transactions of nonperforming loan portfolios. Due to his experience in corporate transactions and private equity investments, he successfully led restructuring processes both as an independent advisor producing Independent Business Reviews (IBR) and helping industrial companies in raising financing.
David has led major forensic projects in anti-laundering cases, forensic accounting and fraud detection. His assistance in litigation support as an expert witness has enabled his clients to successfully quantify and claim economic damages.
