David Turf joined Duff & Phelps in 1997. He is a managing director in the Chicago office and a senior member of the firm's Transaction Opinions practice, which provides fairness and solvency opinions, commercially reasonable debt opinions, business and securities valuations, and other financial advisory services. David has more than 15 years of corporate finance and valuation experience.
David's expertise includes advising boards of directors, management, trustees and shareholders on a variety of corporate finance and valuation issues related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations and other types of transactions. His past clients include Aon Corporation, BHP Billiton Limited, Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc., Michael Kors Holdings Limited, Select Comfort Corporation, Asurion Corporation, Atlantic Power Corporation and The Jim Pattison Group.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, David was an assistant vice president in the commercial loan department of Corus Bank.
David holds an M.B.A. in finance and organizational behavior from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is also a chartered financial analyst and a FINRA series 7 and series 63 registered representative.
