Jimmy is a director at Duff & Phelps working in the Global Restructuring Advisory practice and specialising in both formal corporate restructuring and advisory work. His role involves advising directors, lenders and other stakeholders on a wide range of turnaround options ranging from running AMA processes and fund raising to restructuring of existing debt.
Jimmy has managed a number of appointments from SME’s, up to businesses with turnover of £500m plus and has worked on a number of multi-jurisdictional projects, one of which involved working in the Netherlands for 8 months. Recently he has led large restructuring assignments for both private equity and hedge fund clients.
Whilst Jimmy has worked with a wide range of clients his sector specialisations include retail, automotive and food producers. He has also advised a number of law firms including a solvent restructure of a North West based, 50 partner legal practice.
Jimmy has undertaken a secondment for 12 months into the business support team of a UK clearing bank, managing clients with debt levels up to £120m and therefore has a thorough understanding of how the banks work.
Jimmy is responsible for the UK Restructuring team’s training and development in the UK and is the firm’s training Director for all ACA, ACCA and JIEB students. He holds a law degree LLB (hons) Exon, he is an FCCA qualified accountant and is JIEB qualified.
