Laura McNaughton is a managing director in the Chicago office and part of the Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory business unit. She has over 15 years of middle market merger and acquisition experience.
Laura specializes in providing sell side services to family and founder owned businesses and private equity owned companies. She has assisted in the sale of more than 35 middle market companies. Laura is part of the Industrial industry vertical and has experience working with companies in various end markets, including industrial distribution, engineering and construction, heavy industrial products, as well as, business services, consumer products, and food and beverage.
Laura’s recent engagement experience includes the sale of a precision processor and distributor of metal bars to High Street Capital; sale of an engineering services firm to Clearview Capital, LLC; sale of a food processor to River Associates, LLC; recapitalization of a pet food company by Trinity Hunt Partners; and sale of a producer of powder metals to Alleghany Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ATI) through a Section 363 Bankruptcy transaction. Laura also managed the sale of a ventilation and air treatment products company to Switzerland based Flakt Woods Group and the sale of a heat exchanger company to New Zealand based NDA Engineering. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps in 2000, Laura held positions at Vine Street Partners and Arthur Andersen.
Laura received her M.B.A. in finance from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business and her B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois. She is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registered representative, holding the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. She is actively involved in the Chicago Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and EPWNG, an exclusive networking group for professional women.
