Matt Ingram is lead managing director of the Birmingham office and part of the Global Restructuring Advisory practice. He has 19 years experience in restructuring and corporate recovery; in recent years this has culminated in him splitting his time between Duff & Phelps teams in London and the Midlands.
Matt has worked on a number of restructuring assignments for Midlands clients and has notable experience advising on owner-managed business issues. He has built strong relationships with professionals in the regional accountancy and legal communities and also with local bankers and financiers. Well known Midlands-based assignments that Matt has been responsible for include Brian James Furniture Limited, David Payne Homes Limited and SO Events Group.
Matt’s sector expertise is broad given his 19 years experience. Recent experience has included a significant restructure (financially and operationally) of underperforming Nursing Care homes, the successful sale of a UK leading Events and Hospitality business and the long term trading administration and asset realization of an Agricultural client.
Matt joined the firm in September 2010, when the Birmingham office was launched. Prior to that, he was head of the "owner-managed business" restructuring group in Birmingham for a ‘Big 4’ firm, and began his career in industry and general accountancy.
Matt is a licensed UK Insolvency Practitioner.
