Michael is a managing director in the Legal Management Consulting practice. Michael has more than 26 years of experience providing operational and technology consulting services to leading corporations and law firms. His particular expertise lies in the areas of contract management, matter management/eBilling, intellectual property management, document management, and operational and business process improvements.
Michael joined Duff & Phelps as a result of the acquisition of Tregin Solutions. Michael was one of the founders of Tregin Solutions. Prior to that, Michael worked at Huron Consulting Group, Cisco Systems, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and SRA International as a leader for legal operations process improvement and technology implementation.
Michael has helped many large global companies identify and then implement enterprise-wide contract management processes and technology. These projects have included integration with line of business applications to tightly tie the contracting process into the underlying business process and system(s) for each contract type. The clients have been in a variety of industries including technology, consumer and biotechnology/pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and finance.
Michael has also helped many clients implement matter management/eBilling, intellectual property management, and document management solutions. Solutions provided have resulted improved financial and information management for legal departments, plus automation of key self service legal activities.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is also certified in leading Contract Management, Matter Management and eBilling and Document Management Solutions.
