Phil Dakin is a managing director in the London office, where he works in the Restructuring Advisory business. Phil brings more than 15 years’ experience in the corporate restructuring and insolvency sector, having advised a wide range of stakeholders and undertaken all manner of strategic business reviews, operational and financial restructuring and formal insolvency procedures.
Phil joins Duff & Phelps from Greybull Capital, where he was an integral part of the team that completed the acquisition of Tata Steel’s Scunthorpe Steelworks, resulting in the rescue of 4,000 jobs. He also worked on Greybull’s deal to buy 140 convenience stores from Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc, supporting a bid led by former Secret Millionaire Mike Greene and establishing the MyLocal chain of stores. Prior to his role at Greybull Capital, Phil worked as a Director at Begbies Traynor and as a Senior Manager at KPMG.
Phil is a licensed insolvency practitioner and holds a degree from Durham University.
