Rick G. Schwartz joined Duff & Phelps in 2005. He is a managing director in the Silicon Valley office and part of the firm’s Strategic Finance group. He focuses on serving healthcare clients in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, information technology, consumer products and other industries. Rick has more than 22 years of financial consulting experience.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Rick was a managing director at Standard & Poor’s, a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a principal at Applied Decision Analysis. He specializes in helping organizations discover, value and manage flexible, dynamic, value-maximizing strategies in highly uncertain environments. Rick provides decision analysis and real option valuation, probabilistic analysis and risk assessment, market research and forecasting and mathematical modeling of business problems. Rick also teaches public and private workshops on analysis, assessment and valuation topics.
Rick holds a Ph.D. in engineering-economic systems from Stanford University and a B.S. in civil engineering and B.A. in government from Cornell University.
