Robert Peters joined Duff & Phelps in 2008. He is a managing director in the Chicago office and serves as the national practice leader for Unclaimed Property and Tax Risk Advisory. He has more than 30 years of experience providing state, local and federal tax services to corporate clients.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Robert spent 29 years with KPMG where he last led several practice areas and served as national partner for state and local taxes. Robert specializes in leading national unclaimed property advisory and compliance service areas. He has advised clients ranging from the Fortune 50 to emerging companies, representing a wide range of industries. Robert is a frequent speaker, writer and contributor to national publications on state and local tax and unclaimed property topics.
Robert holds an M.B.A. in finance from New York University, an executive M.B.A from Stanford University and a B.S. in accounting from the University of Denver. He is also a certified public accountant.
