Sean Kelly is a director in the Dublin office. He has significant experience in receiverships, liquidations and examinerships of both Irish and UK jurisdictions over many years.
He is responsible for facilitating the administration of Restructuring and Insolvency assignments. Sean has been centrally involved in the investigation into the affairs of insolvent entities and the bringing of legal proceedings in the Irish courts pursuant to the Irish insolvency legislation.
He has been involved in some of the most significant and complex insolvency assignments in the Irish jurisdiction including Eurofood IFSC Limited, the Zoe Group of Companies and the Four Seasons Hotel.
As head of the firm's personal insolvency division Sean leads a team which deals directly with individual investors who are struggling with loan repayments, the threat of foreclosure and, increasingly, personal bankruptcy.
Sean has also been involved in forensic accounting cases including acting as an expert witness in the High Court and the preparation and submission of reports to the DPP/ODCE etc.
He has twenty-five years Restructuring experience and previously worked for Big 4 firms.
Sean has primary degrees in both business and law and is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and the Society of Irish Insolvency Practitioners. He has diplomas in Finance Law and Commercial Litigation from the Law Society and is an authorised personal insolvency practitioner (PIP).
