Sharon Davies is a director in the London office of Duff & Phelps and is part of the Valuation Advisory Services practice. Sharon has over 15 years of experience in valuation and corporate finance.
Sharon has extensive experience in performing business and financial asset valuations for many global companies. Her experience includes assisting companies in determining values for financial and tax reporting, business strategy planning and restructuring, and transaction advisory support.
Engagement highlights include:
- Purchase price allocations and asset valuations under IFRS and US GAAP
- Intangible asset and goodwill impairment tests; equity and asset valuations for tax purposes
- Valuation of private equity and hedge fund investments and portfolios
- Fairness opinions
She has worked on numerous assignments valuing intangible assets for IFRS 3, IAS 36 and IAS 38 requirements (and U.S. equivalents) including the valuation of customer and other relationships, contracts, licenses, assembled work forces, covenants not to compete, patents, technology, and trade names and trademarks.
Sharon started her career in corporate finance at a global investment bank where she advised on mergers and acquisitions. She later joined Duff & Phelps in 2004 and has worked in both their London and New York offices.
Sharon received her Masters in Business and Finance from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Society of the UK.
