Shawn Milan is a director in the Fixed Asset Management and Insurance Solutions practice. He specializes in construction valuations including current cost development of building construction and construction cost componentization/segregation.
Shawn has experience in conducting depreciation studies that meet Governmental Accounting Standards Board Statement 35 and/or requirements of Office of Management and Budget Circular A-21(2 CFR part 220). He has provided appraisal services to educational facilities, including colleges, universities, school districts, and library districts; governmental bodies, including cities, counties, prison facilities, public works departments, and recreation districts; healthcare clients, including extended-care facilities, assisted-living facilities, and hospitals; and industrial and commercial clients, including commercial and industrial properties.
Shawn joined Duff & Phelps through the acquisition of American Appraisal. Prior to American Appraisal, he was a senior appraiser and trainer for MAXIMUS, Inc.
Shawn is a Candidate Member of the American Society of Appraisers and an active member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers and the National Council of University Research Administrators.
