Sophie Park is a director in the Boston and Salem offices and is part of the Transfer Pricing practice. She is an economist with 13 years of experience in Transfer Pricing, Antitrust and Securities Litigation consulting, and economic research. In her career within Transfer Pricing, she managed and prepared economic analyses for global documentation studies, planning studies, international strategic tax reviews, competent authority requests, cost allocation studies, valuation studies, and loan analyses, audit provision, due diligence for clients in the following industries: media and entertainment, pharmaceutical, medical devices, telecommunications, software, healthcare, financial services, automotive, and consumer goods.
Prior to her experience in Transfer Pricing, Sophie worked as an economist at Securities Litigation and Consulting Group and NERA Economic Consulting in Washington DC. She served as a consultant in both securities and antitrust litigations and conducted economic analysis related to price fixing disputes, merger and acquisition, and securities disputes. As a SAS programmer, she also has an extensive knowledge in data analysis. Her clients from her litigation consulting experience have included firms in the following industries: chemical, healthcare insurance, textile, tobacco, cosmetics, REITS, and mutual funds.
Sophie received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her fields of graduate study were industrial organization, macroeconomics and international economics. She holds a B.A. Magna Cum Laude in Economics with minor in Mathematics from Wellesley College and a M.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
