Tamara Turek Copeland
Tamara Turek Copeland is a director in the Houston office and is part of the intellectual property dispute service line. She has more than 12 years of experience in the areas of business valuation, financial and economic analyses and dispute consulting. Tamara focuses primarily on analyzing data and quantifying damages in complex high-profile intellectual property matters involving patent infringement, trademark and copyright infringement.
Tamara has served as a consultant on many cases through trial and jury verdict and has significant experience preparing expert reports and assisting with trial preparation. She has also worked on cases involving breach of contract, theft of trade secrets, and diminution of business value. Her industry experience includes semiconductors, computer hardware and software, medical devices, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, consumer products, retail, financial services and telecommunications.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Tamara held positions at a global consulting firm and a Big-Four accounting firm.
Tamara has authored several publications and speaks on the subjects of patent infringement and business valuation. She serves as the Houston office city co-leader for the firm’s Network of Women (NOW) Initiative.
Tamara earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Public Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
