Wouter Claasen is a director in New York for the Fixed Asset Management and Insurance Solutions practice. He oversees FAMIS performance and management of client engagements in the Northeast.
Wouter develops best practices, policies and procedures, business process reengineering, and fixed asset databases to satisfy fixed asset accounting, auditing, and financial reporting; property management; and internal planning requirements.
In addition, he provides the functional integration of fixed asset management solutions into clients’ respective ERP systems. This includes computerized reconciliations, report creation, and converting fixed asset reports into their respective software systems.
Wouter also has experience in valuations involving fixed assets for multiple financial statements, purchase price allocations, financial analyses, and business enterprises.
Prior to joining American Appraisal (now Duff & Phelps) in 2013, Wouter worked for large multinational corporations in the construction, manufacturing, casino, healthcare, and higher education industries in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States.
