Yunsoo Kim is a director in the New York office and part of the Real Estate Services Group. She has more than 10 years of experience in real estate valuation and consulting, serving numerous corporate, private equity and hedge fund clients in a wide variety of assignments, including portfolio valuation, underwriting, and appraisal reviews. She also has extensive experience in real estate valuation for asset acquisitions, divestiture, financing and financial reporting.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Yunsoo was the Director of Corporate Finance for CNL Income Corp, a private REIT company in Orlando. At CNL, she led the development of corporate financial model, reviewed quarterly financial performance and reviewed real estate asset underwriting. Yunsoo was also the Regional Pricing Analyst for Asia with GE Real estate from 2001 to 2004, based in Seoul, Korea. She has led the underwriting and investment approval process for 17 real estate assets totaling approximately $1 Billion. She also has significant experience in pricing/underwriting non performing loans. Prior to GE, Yunsoo was a manager at PricewaterhouseCooper’s Financial Advisory Services. At PwC, she gained significant experience in valuation and underwriting by preparing appraisals and investment summary for single assets, loans and portfolios. She has reviewed performing and non-performing debt investments in excess of $1 billion, located throughout the U.S. and also in Asia.
Yunsoo received her Master of Management in hospitality from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and her B.S. in housing and interior design from Yonsei University’s College of Life Science in Seoul, Korea. She is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI).
