Duff & Phelps Adds Two Managing Directors to Its Investment Banking Practice

Duff & Phelps, a leading independent financial advisory firm, announced today that Brooks Dexter and Dan Zircher have joined the firm as Managing Directors in its Investment Banking practice. 

Brooks Dexter
Brooks Dexter has joined the Los Angeles office of Duff & Phelps from USBX Advisory Services, Inc., where he was Senior Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking. At USBX, Mr. Dexter was responsible for developing the 15-person boutique investment bank, which focused on middle-market M&A transactions. Prior to USBX, Mr. Dexter worked as a senior investment banker for J.P. Morgan, where he was responsible for business development and transaction origination and execution. In his career, Mr. Dexter has closed more than 100 merger and acquisition, debt and equity transactions for clients in many industry sectors, including consumer products, business services, industrials, semiconductors, oil services and distribution. Mr. Dexter received an A.B. in Business from the University of Chicago and an M.B.A., with an emphasis on Finance, from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. 

Daniel Zircher
Daniel Zircher has joined the Chicago office of Duff & Phelps from Mesirow Financial Investment Banking, where he was a Managing Director. At Mesirow Financial, Mr. Zircher worked on transactions for mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, and public and private financings for equity and debt. He also led the firm's financial service industry efforts, including securities, derivatives, insurance, asset management and related technologies, and recently closed strategic transactions for the Chicago Stock Exchange and the OneChicago Exchange. Prior to Mesirow Financial, Mr. Zircher was a senior banker in the Corporate Finance Group at Merrill Lynch and BDO Seidman, where he worked on more than 100 transactions across a variety of industries. Mr. Zircher received a B.S. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University and an M.B.A. from DePaul University.
