Duff & Phelps Announces Changes to its Executive Management Team

Duff & Phelps announced today two key changes to the executive management team. Jacob Silverman, current Executive Vice President in charge of Corporate Development for Duff & Phelps, will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer for the firm. In addition to this appointment, Brett Marschke has joined Duff & Phelps as Chief Operating Officer, a role in which he will have oversight of human capital, technology, knowledge management, and marketing and communications. Mr. Marschke joins the firm from The McGraw-Hill Companies where he served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for McGraw-Hill Information & Media.

Mr. Silverman has been an Executive Vice President with Duff & Phelps for nearly three years. He joined Duff & Phelps in connection with the acquisition of the firm from Webster Financial Corporation. Prior to the acquisition, Mr. Silverman spent three years at Stone Ridge Partners, a merger & acquisition advisory firm focused on middle market companies. He joined Stone Ridge Partners from Atomica Corporation, a venture-backed enterprise software company, where he served as Vice President of Finance and acting CFO. Prior to Atomica, Mr. Silverman worked for Oak Hill Partners, a private equity, mezzanine and high yield investment firm. Mr. Silverman received his M.B.A and B.A. degrees from Harvard University.

Mr. Marschke joins Duff & Phelps from The McGraw-Hill Companies where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Information & Media business. Prior to this role, Mr. Marschke was the Managing Director of Human Capital for Standard & Poor's Corporate Value Consulting. The Standard & Poor's Corporate Value Consulting business was subsequently sold and in combination with a management-led buyout, was merged with Duff & Phelps. Mr. Marschke has extensive professional service and consulting experience, having worked in human resource capacities with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Andersen Consulting (now operating as Accenture), Gemini Consulting, and Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Marschke received his B.A. degree in Economics, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Cortland.

Gerry Creagh, President of Duff & Phelps, commented on the management changes stating that, ''We are fortunate to have a good balance between experience and leadership in our executive management team. Jake's many years of corporate finance and M&A experience coupled with his extensive knowledge of the Duff & Phelps business uniquely qualifies him to lead the finance team. Additionally, I am excited that Brett Marschke has decided to return to our business. His deep understanding of professional services will be invaluable in guiding the strategic direction of the firm.''

Noah Gottdiener, Chief Executive Officer of Duff & Phelps, said, ''I am pleased that Brett has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. His role will be instrumental in taking the firm to the next level as we experience continued growth and success.''
