A team of students from Wisconsin School of Business recently took top honors at The Duff & Phelps YOUniversity Deal Challenge 2012.
Now in its third year, the Duff & Phelps YOUniversity Deal Challenge engages college students from around the United States to hone a broad range of skills, including mergers and acquisitions advisory, transaction opinions, dispute consulting and valuation advisory. By working with team members to solve problems presented in a complex fact pattern, participants applied technical reasoning and critical thinking throughout key stages of the deal-making process. In the end, participants had a stronger perspective on how a deal comes together. Finalists received a trip to New York and the chance to compete for scholarships.
Congratulations to first-place winners Zachary Sikora, Nicholas Stender, Cong Xu and case advisor Belinda Mucklow from Wisconsin School of Business.
As an independent financial advisory and investment banking firm whose services are deeply rooted in valuation expertise, Duff & Phelps is committed to preparing the next generation of financial professionals to meet tomorrow's valuation challenges.
