Duff & Phelps, a leading independent financial advisory and investment banking firm, has announced the appointment of new Managing Director Dafydd Evans to its European M&A practice. Evans is based in the firm’s London office and has more than 13 years of corporate finance experience across both M&A and restructuring within the European industrials sector.
“We are pleased to welcome Daf to the investment banking team, and we look forward to his contribution to our middle-market industrials and cross-border assignments,” commented Jake Silverman, Duff & Phelps’ global head of investment banking.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Evans worked at DC Advisory (formerly Close Brothers Corporate Finance) for seven years and the Corporate Finance team at PwC for six years. Whilst at DC Advisory, he was a key member of their European Industrials M&A team, based in London. During that time, he completed a number of high-profile transactions, including the sale of Napier Turbochargers to Wabtec Inc, the sale of the remaining business and assets of Hampson Industries to American Industrial Partners, the acquisition of Ascometal by Apollo Global Management and the non-core sale of Doncasters’ Medical Technologies division to Sandvik. Prior to his career in investment banking, Evans gained operational experience as a Product Engineer at both Corus plc and Alcan Rolled Products Ltd.
Paul Teuten, Duff & Phelps’ Head of UK M&A, added: “Daf is a significant addition to our resources in the UK, which underscores our commitment and ambition to grow our business in the UK and European markets.”
