Duff & Phelps Expands CRC Practice to Dallas With Addition of Adam August

Duff & Phelps, the global advisor that protects, restores and maximizes value for clients, announced today that Adam August has joined the firm as a director in the Compliance and Regulatory Consulting (CRC) practice. Based in Dallas, he will lead the expansion of Duff & Phelps CRC offering to the Texas area. Adam has over 11 years of experience in corporate and securities law.

Adam joins Duff & Phelps from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld LLP, where he was senior counsel in the Investment Funds and Private Equity Practice Group. Adam has advised investment managers of private funds with respect to private placements, complex federal and state registration and exemption issues for investment advisers, commodity pool operators and commodity trading advisers, as well as other corporate matters and compliance issues beginning with the initial fundraising process and continuing throughout the life of the fund. In addition, Adam has assisted asset managers with all manner of regulatory items, including SEC filings, Form ADV and Form PF, SEC exams, due diligence, compliance manuals and related policies and procedures.

He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
