Duff & Phelps Announces 13 Managing Director Promotions 2016

Duff & Phelps, the premier global valuation and corporate finance advisor, today announced the promotion of 13 individuals to managing director.

Nicholas Clemens, M&A – Chicago
Clemens has more than 11 years of experience in M&A, exclusive sales and divestitures, private placements, and recapitalization transactions. He leads the Midwest Financial Sponsors Group and works with private companies, portfolio companies of private equity groups and publicly traded businesses across an array of industries.

Darren Gange, M&A – New York
Gange has nearly 15 years of investment banking and private equity experience in the middle market and leads the firm’s East Coast Financial Sponsors Group. He has been involved in sourcing and executing private equity investments and portfolio monitoring activities including financial planning and budgeting; debt refinancings and restructurings; management changes and evaluating follow-on acquisitions.

Brian Gore, Valuation Advisory Services – Chicago
Gore is part of the Financial Services industry practice and has nearly a decade of experience in performing valuations of businesses, interests in businesses, assets, and liabilities in a variety of industries. His valuation and advisory experience includes financial reporting, corporate tax, litigation and dispute resolution, reorganizations, divestitures, and recapitalizations.

Lauryn Haake, Legal Management Consulting – Houston
Haake has over 15 years of experience assisting corporate law departments improve performance and efficiencies through technology solutions including contract management, matter management and eBilling applications. She has also implemented entity management systems, compliance and risk management systems, and has experience in document management implementations and processes.

Bradley Hileman, M&A – Santa Monica
Hileman has more than 10 years of experience providing investment banking and valuation services. He leads the Financial Sponsors Group and is primarily responsible for building relationships with private equity firms across the U.S. He is also responsible for the generation and execution of M&A transactions and transaction opinions.

Michael Lateur, Property Tax – Austin
Lateur ‘s expertise is related to property tax and business incentive advisory services. He specializes in the structuring and negotiating of government-sponsored economic development incentives packages and is responsible for the management and execution of incentive and property tax consulting engagements on a nationwide basis.

Chris Matteson, General Counsel – New York
Matteson is the Assistant General Counsel to the firm and is a member of the extended leadership team. As an in-house corporate attorney, he works closely with the firm’s leadership and business leaders. He also serves as a member of the senior review committee for the Transaction Opinions group.

Laura McNaughton, M&A – Chicago
McNaughton has over 13 years of middle market M&A experience. She specializes in providing sell-side services to family and founder owned businesses and private equity owned companies. McNaughton has experience working with companies in various end markets, including industrial distribution, engineering and construction, heavy industrial products, business services, consumer products, and food and beverage.

Margaret Mi, M&A – Hong Kong/Beijing
Mi has nearly a decade of investment banking experience with experience in deal origination and execution of consumer and health care transactions in China and cross-border M&A. She focuses on deal origination and execution of TMT, consumer and healthcare transactions in China.

Edward Mielke, M&A – New York
Mielke is part of the firm’s Consumer, Retail, Food and Restaurants group. He has over a decade of experience advising companies in investment banking and corporate strategy and specializes in the execution of mergers and acquisitions, exclusive sales and divestitures, private placements and recapitalization transactions.

Carla Nunes, Office of Professional Practice – Philadelphia
Nunes provides firm-wide technical guidance on a variety of valuation, financial and tax reporting issues. She has over 18 years of experience providing a variety of valuation, financial analysis, and tax services. She is also one of Duff & Phelps experts in addressing valuation issues related to cost of capital.

Marianna Todorova-Larkin, Office of Professional Practice – Philadelphia
Todorova-Larkin provides technical interpretation and guidance on valuation issues in the context of financial reporting; assists in the implementation of best practices and quality control assessment; and engages in interactions with standard setters, regulators, public accounting firms and professional/industry associations, with the objective of supporting client facing efforts throughout the firm

Tony Wilcher, Legal Management Consulting – Miami
Wilcher has extensive experience in technology consulting for law firms and corporate legal department technology. He leads the Information Lifecycle Management team and has built a “virtual toolkit of ILM expertise,” having led many of the largest projects in the Legal Technology industry. He also provides consulting and project management on HP Autonomy solutions, Microsoft solutions and other unique client projects.
