Duff & Phelps Chris Bakewell Testifies in RealD vs MasterImage3D Investigation

Duff & Phelps announces that the United States International Trade Commission (“ITC”) relied upon Managing Director Chris Bakewell’s expert testimony in making a determination for RealD, Inc. in Inv. No. 337-TA-939, In the Matter of Certain Three-Dimensional Cinema Systems and Components Thereof.

Duff & Phelps was retained by Baker & McKenzie to assist RealD in making the case for preventing the importation and sale of MasterImage 3D, Inc. and MasterImage 3D Asia, LLC’s infringing 3D cinema systems in the United States. Last September, the ITC granted RealD’s Motion for Summary Determination that it satisfied all three sub-prongs of the economic prong of the domestic industry requirement. Last week, the ITC issued its Final Determination, ruling that the appropriate relief for MasterImage 3D’s Section 337 violations was both a limited exclusion order and cease and desist order.
