Duff & Phelps, A Kroll Business, Expands its Transaction Advisory Services Practice in Germany

Germany – Duff & Phelps, A Kroll Business, the world’s premier provider of services and digital products related to valuation, corporate finance, governance, risk and transparency, today announced that Oliver Runkel has joined the firm as a managing director in the Transaction Advisory Services practice. Based in Frankfurt, Oliver will lead the practice’s Strategy and Commercial Diligence offering in the German-speaking markets.

Oliver has over 20 years of experience, including 12 years as partner, providing strategic advice to clients in evaluating corporate transactions. He has successfully completed more than 200 strategy and commercial due diligence (CDD) assignments for private equity and corporate clients across a variety of sectors with a strong focus on the industrials, industrial technologies and B2B services sectors.

Before joining Duff & Phelps, Oliver was a part of EY’s strategy and commercial advisory services group in the private equity sector and contributed to the set-up of the company’s pan-European Diversified Industrial Products practice. In this role, he led more than 60 commercial due diligence and value creation projects with deal values ranging from €50 million (mn) to €800 mn. Prior he was a partner at an internationally operating strategy boutique and CDD specialist. Besides working with a broad range of mid- and larger-cap private equity firms, he led the firm’s global industrial products practice. Oliver started his consulting career in Accenture’s strategy practice with a focus on the high-tech and communications sectors.
