Duff & Phelps to Host General Counsel Symposium

NEW YORK-Duff & Phelps, the premier global valuation and corporate finance advisor, will host its 2017 General Counsel Symposium on Friday, November 3, 2017 in Chicago. This event will bring together corporate counsel from some of the largest companies in the U.S. and Canada to discuss challenges and opportunities-both domestic and international-confronting GCs. With more than 150 confirmed attendees the event will focus specifically on topics, including cross-border transactions, compliance trends, shareholder and post-acquisition disputes, among others.

The event will include two notable keynote speeches from John Bass, former operational executive for the Central Intelligence Agency’s National Clandestine Service and new member of Duff & Phelps’ Legal Management Consulting Practice, and Robbie Kaplan, Partner at Kaplan & Company, LLP.  In addition, the day will be filled with multiple panels, led by distinguished general counsels, to guide discussion around relevant issues they face today.

Carl Jenkins, Managing Director and Global Leader for the Disputes and Investigations practice at Duff & Phelps, commented, “The General Counsel role continues to evolve in response to new regulatory compliance demands, cyber-security concerns and growth in corporate investigations. We look forward to hosting our distinguished panel of experts to share ideas and drive discussion on these and related topics.”
