Gregory Burkart quoted in the WSJ regarding Amazon's search for a second headquarter location

Gregory Burkart, Duff & Phelps Site Selection and Incentives Practice Leader, was quoted in the Wall Street Journal on Amazon's search for a second headquarters location. Amazon announced that it plans to invest over $5 billion to build a second headquarters in North America that will employ up to 50,000 workers. Incentives offered from the state and local governments will be a significant factor in the company's decision, and competition to attract Amazon will be fierce. Amazon has indicated that it is prioritizing metropolitan areas with more than a million people that are within 45 minutes of an international airport and near a strong university system. Greg Burkart characterized the news as one of the largest economic development projects that has been announced in a decade.
