Julian Korek Quoted in the Wall Street Journal: UK Regulators Sharpen Focus on Individual Misconduct

Julian Korek, Managing Director and Global Head of Compliance and Regulatory Consulting at Duff & Phelps, was quoted in the Wall Street Journal on the Global Enforcement Review 2017.

Responding to the FCA's proposal to expand its Senior Managers and Certification regime to capture the insurance industry, Julian commented "This regime has strengthened the hand of the FCA. Because [regulators] didn’t have a regime like the SMCR, it wasn’t obvious who was in control and it was very difficult to pinpoint any firm deficiency to an individual. Now the regulator has that ability to prosecute the individual.”
