Laca Wong-Hammond Named One of the Top Women in Retail Real Estate

Duff & Phelps today announced that Managing Director Laca Wong-Hammond has been named one of the Top Women in Retail Real Estate by Real Estate Forum. The winners were chosen from a pool of prominent nominees for their performance across the retail real estate spectrum.

Laca has more than 15 years of real estate transactions advisory experience including divestiture of assets and companies, sale/leasebacks, developer selection, strategic planning and capital placement of debt and equity across property types. Her clients include owner-operators, developers, not-for-profit organizations, private equity funds and publicly-traded companies. A frequent speaker at industry symposiums, Laca has published thought leadership articles in Area Development, Becker’s Hospital Review, Healthcare Financial Management (HFMA), MergerMarket and Real Estate Forum.

Laca graduated with honors from Cornell University and studied at the London School of Economics and Harvard Law School. She served as Co-Chair (2013-2014), and Co-Vice Chair (2012-2013) of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA International) Medical Office and Healthcare Facilities Committee. She was selected by Real Estate Forum as a 2012 Woman of Influence for her work as the leader of real estate in the healthcare investment banking group, and named one of NAAAP’s most influential APIA New Yorkers in 2013. Laca is a member of Women Leading Healthcare (WBL) and on the Board of Trustees at Chen Dance Center, a not-for-profit performing arts school, theatre and dance company in New York.
