Nick Bayley, Managing Director in the Compliance and Regulatory Consulting practice at Duff & Phelps, spoke to HFM Week to discuss MiFID II, and the effect it will have on internal procedures surrounding gifts and hospitality. 

"If your staff are receiving hospitality and not telling you about it - the chances of you catching them are quite slim. Staff need to be told that this is pretty serious as it potentially puts the whole firm at risk," Bayley says.
