Calamos Asset Management, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLMS) ("CAM") has been acquired by an entity (the "Acquirer") indirectly owned by John Calamos and John Koudounis in a take private transaction. The transaction closed on February 21, 2017. Duff Phelps served as financial advisor to the special committee of the board of directors of CAM, assisted in the negotiations of the transaction and provided a fairness opinion in connection with the transaction. Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP served as legal counsel to the special committee.
