Duff & Phelps is pleased to announce that it has recently completed a business turnaround and sale of east coast tourist attraction Fantasy Island to Mellors Group, the international leisure group. The new ownership is expected to transform the theme park, which already delivers record-breaking roller coasters, Europe’s largest seven-day market and 340 static caravan pitches.
Duff & Phelps’ Role
Duff & Phelps was appointed Administrator of Fantasy Island on 4 August 2014. After completing an extensive operational turnaround, Fantasy Island traded successfully under the supervision of the Administrators, enabling the site to benefit from significant investment which directly improved both visitor experience and financial performance. The sale has ensured the longevity and future of Fantasy Island.
