Alex Holder is a managing director in the London office of Kroll and is part of the Valuation Advisory Services business unit. Alex joined Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) in 2007, and specializes in performing business valuations, valuations of intangible assets, and valuations of equity investments.

Alex has performed business valuations for both domestic and global clients for the purposes of financial reporting, tax planning, transaction advisory and litigation support. His experience includes advising clients across a broad range of industries, including technology and communications, consumer products, financial services, energy and industrial products.

Alex has extensive experience in the valuation of intangible assets for the purposes of purchase price allocations and impairment testing, including the valuation of technology assets, customer relationships, trade names and trademarks, assembled workforce's, and covenants not to compete. Alex has performed purchase price allocation services for some of the largest and most complex transactions in recent years. 

Alex has a number of clients in the private equity industry, providing regular portfolio valuation services across a wide spectrum of investments in terms of industry and geography, as well as ranging from early-stage venture investments to large-cap buyouts. 

Alex graduated from Warwick Business School, receiving a BSc in Accounting & Finance. Alex is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of the UK.
