Stephen Clancy is a managing director in the Manchester office and part of the Restructuring practice. Stephen has more than 25 years experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency.

He joined the firm in 2008 and is head of the Manchester office's Business Consulting and Tax Arrears Solutions service line.

Stephen’s area of focus is advising company directors and their financiers and stakeholders on operational and financial restructuring issues. He has worked on many assignments for asset based lenders and banks on strategic business reviews, crisis management involving cash and accounting control, negotiating time to pay arrangements with key creditors including HM Revenue & Customs, raising finance and implementing change. He is also skilled at undertaking structured work-outs, formal insolvency and refinancing, where financiers and directors have sought controlled outcomes.

His sector experience spans a wide cross section of industries with a strong emphasis on temporary recruitment, support services, printing, transport, construction and engineering.

Stephen is a Chartered Accountant and a licensed UK Insolvency Practitioner. He has also co-chaired the Turnaround workshops for the Institute for Turnaround (IFT) in the North of England.
