Duff & Phelps' Managing Director Lapman Lee will be presenting at the breakfast seminar "Opportunities for Fintech hosted by European Chamber of Commerce's Financial Services Business Council (FSBC)" on April 21, 2017.
The breakfast seminar will cover the key findings from a FSBC on the status and development of financial technology (FinTech) in Hong Kong. The great advancements of FinTech in recent years undoubtedly offer unprecedented opportunities for the financial services industry and its customers, but also give rise to new and increased challenges. This position paper analyses the extent to which Hong Kong, as one of the major financial centres globally and the gateway to the People’s Republic of China (Mainland China) and the region, is prepared to harness these new opportunities.
In addition, interviews were conducted with over 20 FinTech industry stakeholders (including start-ups, global financial institutions, regulators as well as government officials).
