"Enterprise Value of firms in Insolvency," a paper written by Deepak Panda and Sagar Goyal of Duff & Phelps, has been shortlisted to be presented at the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Reforms Conference. The conference, organized by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) and the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), brings together academics, participants from the legal and financial industry, government policy makers and regulators. Both Deepak and Sagar will present the technical paper to delegates at the conference. The call for papers was released globally earlier this year and the program committee shortlisted the ten best nominations to be presented at the event.

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) is the regulator constituted under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. It was established on 1st October 2016, and is responsible for the implementation of the Code, through creating regulations and suggesting amendments to the law to ensure the economic outcomes visualized under the code. The Finance Research Group at IGIDR works in the area of quantitative finance, financial sector laws, regulation and policy. Research undertaken by the group spans questions about securities markets, household and corporate finance, insolvency and bankruptcy laws and access to finance.
