The Duff & Phelps Site Selection and Incentives Advisory practice is a proud sponsor of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) 2020 Credits and Incentives Symposium Webinar Series, which will be held virtually October 26-December 1, 2020.

This year’s annual program will highlight the most important and relevant topics for all credits and incentives practitioners, including COVID-19 and the upcoming U.S. elections and their impact on both national and global economies, in addition to traditional deep dives into state programs, opportunity zones, and federal/state statutory credits updates.

Eileen Egan, Vice President in Duff & Phelps’ Site Selection and Incentives Advisory practice, will speak on the online session titled, “Monetizing Statutory Tax Credits” on Thursday, November 5 at 2:00 p.m. EST. 

Gregory Burkart, Managing Director and Site Selection and Incentives Advisory practice leader of Duff & Phelps, will present during the online session titled, “Credits and Incentives 101” on Thursday, November 13 at 11:00 a.m. EST. 

Chris Campbell, Duff & Phelps’ Chief Strategist, will speak on the closing keynote session titled, “Beyond the Shouting and the Scheming – What the 2020 Elections Mean for Economic Development” on Tuesday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. EST. This online session will examine how the campaign rhetoric may translate into policies impacting economic development. Issues related to taxation, climate change, international trade, equity and worker’s rights, as well as new efforts to get people back to work, will all play out over the coming months as the world economy seeks to regain its footing. The lingering impact of the 2020 stimulus packages and the potential for future fiscal and monetary stimulus will also be reviewed.

Additionally, Karen Chelstowska, European leader of Duff & Phelps’ Site Selection and Incentives Advisory practice, will moderate three online panel sessions:

  • “COVID-19 Federal Economic Recovery Incentives Deep Dive” on Monday, November 2 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. EST
