Amy Thomas

Amy Thomas is a director in the Seattle office. She has more than 20 years of experience consulting on business strategy and valuation issues.

She has significant experience valuing stock options and other equity awards, assisting both public and private organizations with stock compensation planning and financial reporting. Her equity valuation experience includes valuing underwater options and option modifications, designing employee stock option exchange programs, as well as valuing annual grants of options, stock appreciation rights, and restricted stock awards. 

Amy’s expertise also includes valuing contingent assets and liabilities for financial reporting, tax, and M&A purposes, developing models to support long term planning decisions, and designing and executing market research studies. Her engagements apply modeling methodologies to guide decisions on merger and acquisition deal-making, business planning, licensing and partnering strategy, design of employee stock option exchange programs and modifications, prioritization of research and development portfolios, and product pricing and marketing strategy. These valuations often support financial reporting, tax, and/or regulatory compliance needs. 

Amy received her M.S. in operations research from Stanford University and her B.A. in mathematics from Smith College where she graduated summa cum laude.
