David Webb is a managing director in Duff & Phelps’ Global Restructuring Advisory practice, based in Sydney. David has over 26 years of experience in all facets of corporate insolvencies advising financiers, bankers, accountants, lawyers and their clients across a broad range of industries. His expertise includes assessing business performance, implementing turnaround initiatives, restructuring, workout arrangements, formal insolvency appointments, strategic reviews and safe harbor advice.
Before joining Duff & Phelps, David served as Director in the Business Restructuring Services Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was the lead on property and construction matters as well as the Small to Medium Enterprises (SME) market. He also has a strong focus in the hospitality, retail and marina industries.
David’s has had many engagements with Australia clients. Some notable assignments include receiver and manager of iconic Burleigh Beach Pavilion Gold Coast, Queensland; receiver and manager of Horizon Shores the largest marina development in Australia located at Morton Bay Queensland, in conjunction with the Port of Airlie Marina in the Whitsundays and the Martha Cove property and marina development in the Mornington Peninsula Victoria; the development 60,000 sq. m. commercial warehouse in Fairfield, Sydney containing high profile tenants; receiver and manager of iconic mixed commercial retail development Alexandria which sold for $110M, and acted in the court liquidation and trading and sale of a high-end restaurant with a AUD $5 million turnover.
David holds a Bachelor of Business from Monash University. He is a member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. He is a Registered Liquidator.
