David Whitehouse

David Whitehouse is a managing director in the Manchester office and leads the UK Restructuring Advisory practice. David has more than 20 years experience in the corporate restructuring and recovery market.

He has strong relationships with all the major clearing banks and has provided creditor advisory services to a broad range of financial institutions, with particular focus upon the asset based lending and banking sectors. He also regularly acts for management of distressed businesses where a consensual solutions-based approach to particular difficulties is required.
 
David has experience in advising many sectors such as property, manufacturing, transport and haulage, chemicals and professional services. David has led workout projects on a number of secondary and subprime loan books, and has led assignments in the UK, Continental Europe, The Middle East and North America. Recently David led the successful restructuring of a substantial North West based property group, with £250m of bank debt provided by nine clearing and investment banks.

David has co-chaired the Turnaround Workshops for the Institute for Turnaround (IFT) in the North of England, providing real case studies and practical training to professionals involved in the turnaround sector. In 2012, David was named Turnaround Professional of the Year at the Endless LLP St Nick Turnaround Awards - North West.
