Edward Lee

Edward Lee joined Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) in 2004. He is a senior advisor in the San Francisco office and part of the firm’s Valuation Advisory Services practice. Edward has more than 25 years of corporate finance experience.

Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Edward was a managing director with Standard & Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting and a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Coopers & Lybrand. Before joining the financial services industry, Edward worked in line management and consulting roles in the mining industry. Edward specializes in valuation of mining businesses, covering such minerals as gold, silver and PGM’s in the precious metals sector, copper, lead and zinc in the base metal sector, metallurgical and steam coal, oil sands and uranium in the energy sector as well as a variety of industrial minerals. These valuations have been prepared for a wide variety of purposes, including privatization, financing, corporate restructuring, tax and financial reporting. 

Edward’s clients have included many of the world’s largest mining companies, including Anglo Gold Ashanti, Barrick Gold, Goldcorp, Kinross, Silver Wheaton, ENRC, Lundin, Nyrstar, Rio Tinto, Foundation Coal, Peabody, Patriot, Uranium One, Walter Energy, Martin Marietta Materials and Granite Rock as well as many early/development stage companies. 

Edward holds a B.S. in mining engineering from Imperial College at London University and is qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant. He is a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) and the Royal School of Mines Association (RSMA).
