Glen Kernick joined Duff & Phelps in 2005. He is a managing director and the Silicon Valley office practice leader. He is also the firm’s global technology industry leader and part of the Valuation Advisory Services business unit. Glen has more than 20 years of experience in financial analysis and valuation for technology clients.
Glen has led numerous multi-billion dollar technology industry business combination purchase price allocation engagements for both accounting (ASC 805) and tax purposes, several multi-billion dollar goodwill impairment analyses (ASC 350), a number of notable private company stock valuations for clients that have completed the S-1 registration process, and provided expert witness testimony on the valuation of an early stage technology company.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Glen was a managing director with Standard & Poor's Corporate Value Consulting. He also held director and manager positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Price Waterhouse. Glen began his career in technology licensing and lending. Today he specializes in managing valuation engagements for clients ranging from private start-ups to Fortune 50 companies. His industry experience includes biotechnology, computer hardware, data storage, Internet and e-commerce, medical devices, networking equipment, semiconductors, software and telecommunications.
Glen holds an M.B.A. from the University of Washington and a B.A. in economics from the University of California, San Diego.
