Head of Americas M&A Advisory and Global Head of Consumer Corporate Finance

Josh Benn is a managing director and head of the New York Corporate Finance practice, based in the New York Office. In addition, he serves as head of Americas M&A advisory and he leads the firm’s global Consumer Corporate Finance practice. He also serves as Head of U.S. M&A Advisory and U.S. Restructuring Advisory, Distressed and Special Situations practice. Josh leverages more than 25 years of investment banking experience.

Prior to joining the firm, Josh served as a founding partner of Stone Ridge Partners LLC, a middle-market merger and acquisition advisory firm. Before that, Josh was in the M&A and private equity coverage group at Thomas Weisel Partners. Prior to that, he was in investment banking with Furman Selz.

Josh has managed merger, acquisition, divestiture and recapitalization transactions and transaction opinions for a variety of public and privately-owned clients. Some of his notable clients include: Eureka Restaurants, Weiman Products, Hampshire Pet Products, Rock Bottom Restaurants, Noodles & Company, Tourneau, Marlin Firearms, Oneida Foodservice, Traeger Wood Pellet Grills, Osprey Packs, Dover Saddlery, Standard Furniture, HMI, Inc., Ruby Slipper Café, Rosa Mexicano, SBE, Inc., Gristede's Supermarkets and Balducci's, LLC.

In 2012, Josh was a winner of the 40 UNDER 40 M&A Advisor Recognition Awards, which honors leading M&A, financing and turnaround professionals.

Josh received a B.A. in political science and French from Dartmouth College. He is a FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 registered representatives.
