Marc Chiang is a managing director in the Transaction Advisory Services practice, based in the San Francisco office. Marc leverages more than 20 years of transaction experience with a specialized expertise on technology transactions as well as cross-border inbound Chinese mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Marc was as a partner at Grant Thornton. He also served as the transaction advisory services national technology leader and California practice leader. Before that, he was part of the audit and transaction advisory services at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Marc has vast international work experience in corporate development and investment banking, leading numerous buy-side and sell-side due diligence processes. He frequently advises clients on: growth equity investments; financial models; negotiating valuation and purchase agreement terms; economic approaches to due diligence for poorly kept financial records; complex revenue recognition issues; working capital adjustments; financial systems; and execution of IPO processes.
Marc received his MBA from the International Institute of Management Development. He also holds a B.A. and MAcc from the University of Waterloo. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in California, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant. He is also on the board of the SIIA Software and Services Division.
