Mark Donahue

Mark Donahue is a director in the Seattle office and part of the Valuation Advisory Services business unit. He has over ten years of experience in valuation and financial advisory services.

Mark has substantial knowledge of public auditor (financial reporting), Internal Revenue Service and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission expectations. He has provided valuation services for many entities, including valuations related to closely-held stock interests; corporate divisions and subsidiaries in connection with mergers, divestitures, acquisitions, fairness and solvency opinions; shareholder buyouts; and employee stock ownership plans.
 
Mark also has provided valuations of intangible assets/intellectual property, for a variety of purposes, including transaction pricing, financial reporting, domestic and international tax, transfer pricing and joint venture formation. Additionally, Mark specializes in valuations for tax purposes, including employee stock ownership plans (409A) valuations and has significant experience in the valuation of securities within complex capital structures.  
 
Mark’s industry expertise is within the technology sector, including the wireless telecommunications, software and internet services industries. Mark also has significant experience in valuations for the food and beverage, capital goods and insurance industries.
 
Prior to joining Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) in 2003, Mark was an analyst at Rainier Group, Inc. and prior to that, he was a pilot for the United States Navy.
 
Mark received his M.B.A. in finance from the University of Washington and his B.A. in chemistry from Duke University.
