Mark Kwilosz is a managing director in the Fairness and Solvency Opinions practice, based in the Chicago office. Mark leverages over 11 years of M&A experience advising board of directors, management teams, and other company stakeholders with fairness opinions, solvency opinions and other corporate finance advisory services.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Mark was an engineering manager with Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), where he was responsible for managing the design and manufacture of components for the automotive industry. While at ITW, he was granted seven U.S. patents for his inventions.
Mark's clients span across a broad range of corporations and private equity groups. Some of his notable clients include: Tyco International, Cooper-Standard Automotive, Visteon, Lear Corporation, General Motors (VEBA), AT&T, Windstream, Verizon, Time Warner Cable, CDW Corporation, Sears Holdings, Fortune Brands, Masonite, Boise Cascade, Ingersoll-Rand, Citadel Investment Group, Cerberus and Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe.
Mark specializes in leveraged buyouts, related-party transactions, recapitalizations, spin-offs, going-private transactions, rights offerings, share repurchases, and ESOP transactions. His advisory experience is primarily focused in the industrial sector with additional experience in the telecommunications, consumer products and financial services sectors.
Mark received his MBA in finance, strategy and entrepreneurship from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He also holds his BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois. He is a FINRA registered representative, holding the Series 7 and 63 licenses, and a CFA Charterholder. Mark is also a member of the Business Valuation Association of Chicago and the CFA Society of Chicago.
